Academic Or General Training?
IELTS Academic is the version universities ask for, and the one used for professional registration (nursing, engineering, medicine). IELTS General Training is used for most work and migration visa routes in the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Listening and Speaking are identical in both; Academic Reading and Writing use academic texts and a data-description task, while General Training uses everyday texts and a letter.
The band scale is the same — 0 to 9, in half bands — and a score is valid for two years. If you are not sure which version your university or visa route requires, message us with the name of the course or route and we will check it with you.
IELTS Preparation — FAQ
How long does it take to prepare for IELTS?
Most students need two to three months of regular, guided practice to raise their score by half a band to a full band. BayRen's IELTS Master Course runs for 2.5 months with 30 live classes, so you finish ready to book your test date.
Do you teach online or in person?
Both. Our live online classes are open to students anywhere in Bangladesh — you need a phone or laptop and an internet connection. Offline (in-person) classes are also available; message us on WhatsApp for details.
What does the IELTS course cost?
The full IELTS Master Course is ৳10,500 for 2.5 months, all-inclusive: 30 live classes, 8 teacher support sessions, feedback on every writing task, computer-based practice and 5 mock tests. There is no hidden charge.
Which band score can I expect?
It depends on where you start. We assess your level first and set a realistic target with you, then track every skill week by week. Most universities abroad ask for an overall band of 6.0 to 7.0, which is what the course is built to reach.
Do you provide mock tests?
Yes. Five full mock tests are included, taken on our computer-based mock test platform that mirrors the real test — the same timing, the same question types and band scores for every section, with teacher-reviewed Writing and Speaking.
Academic or General Training — which IELTS do I need?
IELTS Academic is for university study and professional registration. IELTS General Training is for most work and migration visa routes. The Listening and Speaking sections are the same in both; Reading and Writing differ. Check the requirement of your university or visa route — and ask us if you are unsure.
Will I get feedback on my writing?
Every Writing task you submit in the course gets detailed feedback from a teacher, with the band descriptors explained in plain language. Between classes, our Writing practice app gives instant feedback on practice pieces so you can fix mistakes while they are fresh.
